How do I return something bought in store?

We will no longer be accepting any returns or exchanges for non-faulty items, change of minds or excluded items purchased on or after 26th December 2020.

Due to the national lockdown you will now have one week after store reopening to return any item that you have been unable to return due to temporary store closures. This date will vary as each store is likely to have a different date for reopening.

Refunds or exchanges will be accepted where proof of purchase is present for faulty or misdescribed items, or items covered under warranty.

Once a store permanently closes, faulty or misdescribed items, or items covered under warranty, may still be returned to any other Debenhams store that is still trading.

If you send a store-bought item to be returned via our warehouse, you will not receive a refund.

Getting a refund

We’ll put the money straight back onto your card, but it could take 3 to 5 working days to show in your account. If you don’t have the card you used to purchase with you, we’ll give you an exchange for the same amount.

Making an exchange

If the item you want to take home in exchange is less expensive than your original item, we’ll refund the difference onto your card.
